A negative self-image can cripple and paralyze a person, creating embarrassing inhibitions and preventing them from beginning or accomplishing their visions.
Such negative beliefs can run as an undercurrent in your life and can shadow and influence all of your creative activities.
When you believe you "can't", you feel afraid to express your needs. As a child, you may have experienced the feeling of being powerless. If you were abused for prolonged periods, either as a child or adult, you may have become frozen to your own needs. Without certain strength enhancing characteristics, like a belief in yourself, optimism, liveliness, fortitude, courage, and endurance, you may have even stopped growing and this may be keeping you down through self-abusive tendencies, compulsive behaviors, and/or depression. It's time to take your power back.
