Are you consistently losing your connection to the present moment? Are you missing out on what is happening around you? Are your thoughts hopelessly wandering?

Very few are ever really present. Most spend their lives mentally and emotionally miles away without ever realizing it.

Most find it difficult to be mindful. Animals, babies and young children are unsurprisingly superior at being present. Research tells us that the adult mind wanders at least 85% of the time but even worse, they found that 94-96% of those thoughts are the same thoughts. Although it's normal for a person's mind to wander, it's helpful to be able to focus when needed, and even more helpful to be able to control what you are thinking.

By becoming more aware of your environment, your body and where you are in each given moment, you are less likely to have a negative response to any surprise actions or words from others. When a person is on automatic pilot, and not fully present, old negative behaviours are easily triggered.

Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on where you are, on what is around you and whatever else is present in the current moment—and accepting it without judgment. Mindfulness is a vital element in happiness.

This Mindfulness Meditation creates a conscious direction for your awareness. Through this meditation you will learn to become mindful in your everyday life. It will shift your attention into being purposefully aware of yourself and your surroundings, not just elusively and habitually aware.
